Q1: How can I convert my withdrawable ShopBack balance into Asia Miles?

Starting from 20 March, you can go to the "Withdraw Cashback" page in the ShopBack App and select "Asia Miles" as your withdrawal method.

Q2: What is the conversion rate? Are there any fees?

The current conversion rate is: HKD 1 cashback = 7 Asia Miles. No additional fees will be charged for the conversion. A minimum of HKD 50 cashback is required for conversion.

Q3: How long will it take for the miles to be credited to my Cathay membership account after I submit a conversion request?

The processing time for conversion requests is approximately 14 working days. Once the miles are credited, you can log in to the Cathay website or mobile app to check your transaction records.

Q4: What information do I need to provide when submitting a conversion request?

To ensure successful conversion, you must provide personal information that exactly matches your Cathay membership account:

Cathay First Name

Cathay Last Name

Cathay Membership Number (10 digits)

*Please ensure all information is entered correctly. Any incorrect details will result in a failed conversion.

Q5: Can I convert miles for my family or friends?

ShopBack account limitation: Each ShopBack user can only link 1 Cathay membership account.

Mileage account limitation: The same Cathay membership account can be linked to multiple different ShopBack accounts (e.g. family members can convert their respective ShopBack cashback into the same Cathay membership account).

Q6: Can I cancel a conversion request?

No. Once a request to convert to Asia Miles has been submitted, it cannot be cancelled, modified, or reverted back to cashback. Please ensure all information is correct before submission.

Q7: What should I do if my conversion fails due to incorrect information?

If the conversion fails due to mismatched information, the amount will be returned to your withdrawable ShopBack balance. Please correct your information and submit a new request.

Q8: How can I use, transfer my miles, or check their expiry date?

For any questions related to your Cathay membership account (e.g. flight redemption, miles transfer, expiry date, login issues), please contact Cathay directly as these involve personal data and third-party platform access.
